I am developing a non-commercial web-based calendar focused on Indigenous Americans and am doing a section on journalist Minnie Two Shoes. I try to find a usable photo if possible. I notice that a blog entry has 2 photos of her without any identifiable credits. What are your requirements for using one of these in connection with my project.
Both photos are courtesy Sequoyah National Research Center, Little Rock, Arkansas, so I can’t provide permission. Hope this helps you track them down; she’s a remarkable woman!
The LWV of Montana is creating a suffrage timeline history lesson for high school students in Montana. We would like to use a quote by and photo of Lucille Trosper Roullier Otter posted in your article https://montanawomenshistory.org/lucille-otter-doing-good-for-tribe-and-country/. We are giving photo credit to Renee Roullier-Madrigal as you have done so in your article. Would there be any issue using this photo in our presentation? Thank you.

Feel free. I don’t have the rights to grant you permission to use the photo, but I do believe that your proposed use falls under “fair use.”
